Inherited the morning show slot on the radio upon the departure of Chuck Hawsey in 1976. Lou had one of the most popular radio shows at SCN. He'd ask the audience to send in their favorite recipes to share with the audience and the SCN front office would be filled with great dishes. His mysterious "Mary Ann" had the listeners so intrigued that people who had received their clearing orders would drop by the station to ask who was Mary Ann.

Lou went to Hill AFB in Utah after leaving SCN. 

After retirement, he went to work for the IRS as an Audio Visual expert. Was seen doing a training film for the IRS several years ago; He was the moderator in a panel discussion.

Robert Botzenmayer passed away on July 24, 2005.  His daughter Lynne Botzenmayer Armfield had moved him up near her home in South Carolina from Bradenton, FL in 2003  where he lived in an independent facility at first and later moved to assisted living.  He fell and broke a hip and never recovered.  Roberts wife had preceded him in death on June 2001. Robert had celebrated his 89th birthday just over 4 months earlier.
