In late 72 (?), Pete married Durae Havens, a dependent (SGM George Havens, 5th SFG) SCN volunteer, at a ceremony at the Ft Clayton Chapel.  SGM Ed Waddell was the best man, Mark Minkler and Steve Landry were ushers, and SP5 Pete Pryor (wife, Peggy), an SCN engineer sang.

Biographic Details:  

After military service, he worked in Louisville and Cincinnati before coming to Birmingham in 1981 as the main anchor for evening newscasts.

Scott has been named Best News Anchor in the
state of Alabama by the Associated Press, nine times.

In 2000, he was inducted into the Silver Circle of the Southeast Region of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

In 2000, he started a business:  Scott Richards Video
Productions,  producing are Life Story Videos  with photos, video, digital special effects and music and create a dramatic presentation for special occasions.

Duties:   Bob was a fully bilingual Spanish news announcer on Radio and TV. He was very instrumental in one of the final SCN productions "End of an Era," with lots of historical input about the old days of 16mm film. Bob managed to do several years of reserve duty at SCN.

Michael Russnow:

Worked a variety of jobs in production and as a TV personality. 

A very talented addition to the SCN team, Michael Russnow's  innovative ideas were a showcase of his future potential in the industry. Some of his SCN productions include, "A Walk on Broadway" and "The World of Barbara Moller," plus  interviews with Miss Universe and local celebrities.

Trivia:   Many of his former coworkers at SCN remember his appearance as a contestant on the TV game show, "Split Second" where he successfully won a new car.
Biographic Details:  

After SCN, Michael moved back to the LA area where he has remained since 1971. 

Upon return to the US, Michael went to work for Senator Alan Cranston of California. 

Michael's post SCN achievements are a legacy of his quite impressive career as a talented writer for such well known series as Family Ties, Waltons, Emerald Point NAS, Knots Landing, Barney Miller, Dynasty, Alice, Santa Barbara and many others. 

He was on the WGA Board of Directors from 90-94 and successfully spearheaded special Oscar recognition for Myrna Loy and Deborah Kerr as well as Royal Honor for Deborah Kerr.

Michael is currently living in "trendy" West Hollywood, CA near the strip. A member of the Writers Guild of America and successful writer. Michael just recently completed his new book "Hollywood on the Danube" about doing a soap opera in Budapest, where he lived for several months while researching his latest Novel.
