there was a restaurant that served great meals, and a small hotel situated on a point of high ground, with beaches stretching out both to the east and west. the beaches were spacious, uncrowded, and secluded, with cliffs that came down to meet the sea.

Rio Mar Sunset

one of the favorite get-a-way places for the troops was rio-mar...it sat on a point of land where a small river ran into the pacific...hence the name, literally "river-sea." there were beautiful beaches in either direction...they were spacious, and secluded.
